My stepdad wants to bond with me. Please help !!!?

Yesterday he told me that he thinks we should do something together , just the two of us. He made all these suggestions like playing tennis , going for a walk , playing mini golf , going to the movies etc. He's a nice guy but I don't particularly want to bond with him. I'm 20 , I'm only home for summer from college and I know it's going to be really awkward. And I don't understand why he's asking me to hang out now , all of a sudden when he has been with my mom for four years. Do you think I should go ? If you don't think I should how can I get out of it without hurting his feelings
