I am 13 almost 14. I weigh 92.3 lbs and am 5ft 1in tall. Everyone says im really skinny, but i feel fat. I think im overweight. Also, i am a ballet, jazz , and lyrical dancer all year round. there are no specific steps i can tell you that could help. the only advice i CAN give you, is too just trust yourself. thats how i learned. i learned to do layouts/tucks because i bounced too high on the tramp. so try this: try going for a layout, but with not as much power. make sure you put your hands down to catch yourself, and look for the trampoline. this might help. whatever you try, dont bail out in the middle of the trick. you could severly hurt yourself. just have confidence, and you would be surprised with what you can do.

How to connect wireless mouse to laptop?

I just got a wireless Microsoft Explorer Mouse (not mini-explorer) and I can't seem to connect it. Honestly, I don't think the instructions are that great; they're kinda vague. But basically, this is what I have done: install the software on the CD, put the battery in the mouse, charge it for a while, then plug the receiver into the computer. That is exactly what the manual says really, and somehow the mouse is supposed to connect to the computer. There does not appear to be any button on the receiver and I've restarted the computer and taken out the battery and put it back in. Somehow the instructions on the manual didn't make much sense to me, as it does not appear to make sense as to how the receiver just automatically connects to the mouse, but maybe I'm wrong. But the mouse will not connect! D: what am I doing wrong? I only have one computer to test on and the powers on and everything.

I attempted to make mini pumpkin cupcakes. I went a long with a recipe from pumpkin maker Libby's. The recipe says to use two boxes of cake mix and the pumpkin. But instead of using canned pumpkin I used the canned pumpkin pie mix because I already had it. I made a smaller cake that was successful but the larger cake got burned on the bottom. My mini-pom is having health issues...?

My dog has some kind of seizures/spasm. She can be fine one moment and then she will stop and lie down and then her legs will contract (bend) in, and her head will curl in to the right or left. Her body will tense up and she shakes some and once in a while whimpers. She doesn't walk or move when this happens. This has been happening about six months now, but it did stop for about a month and has just started up again. In general though, she is in good health. She eats, plays, goes potty. I sleep with a police surplus Spanish Star Model B .38 Super under the pillow (no round in chamber) loaded with +P 130 grain Hollowpoints. I keep my boyhood 20 gauge pump action in the closet loaded with four rounds of #3 Buckshot. My Honda Insight has a Makarov 9mm wrapped in the towel tucked up under the front seat. If I am puttering around outside, I keep a .25 Auto in my front pocket, or if it's cold, and I can hide something bigger in a jacket, I keep a Walther PP .32 auto at hand. It's not a nice neighborhood, and I am a tiny man (five foot four 109 pounds). So I was in my front yard, trying to set up some hydroponics to my own organic squash. When two gang members come on an elote man across the street, and start throwing him around like a raggedy Andy doll. An elote man is a man who sells corn on the cob, Mexican style. so I have a Sony handycam that does not take videotapes, it takes non-rewritable video camera dvd's, and dvd's that you can re write on them, re write as in record on the same disk over and over again, no matter how many times, now what I am looking for is if it is possible to put one of these mini dvd's inside a laptop and checking what's on it. but I am afraid I will screw up my laptop completely if I do it, and the mini dvd I have is a non-rewritable so what I hear is that I am supposed to finalize the dvd and that made me think "what the heck, finalize... what is that", so I am asking for help because I am pretty confused about this...

Acting help for musical theatre performance?

Well, in the movie she's singing it in a church, so no dramatic or wild movements. I think you can pull this song off without too much acting, I suggest walking slowly around while singing so it won't look too awkward, and just sing with a sad/pleading look on your face. You can pull this one off without making too many arm gestures, since it's kind of a calm, sad song, not aggressively dramatic or emotional. In the movie she's basically walking around the pews praying out loud wistfully. Imitate her!

I had to read this book this year, and now it is my #1 favorite book of all time. My entire class also agreed! Electric dryer not heating and stops?

We have a 2009 Kenmore Dryer and just 3 days ago it stop getting hot. It tumbles but there's no heat. Also, it will only tumble for about 10 minutes then it's stop and the "pause/cancel" button will blink and so will all of the buttons underneath ("cool down", "wrinkle rid", and "clean lint filter"). We cleaned out the lint filter and even let the dryer sit alone for 2 days, but it's doing the same thing. What could possibly be wrong? A toe touch most definatly. They are like one of the most important jumps in cheer. Tumbling can be very very dangerous if you don't know how..but try a back hand spring or even a cartwheel makes a difference. Work on being loud and always smiling. Works on several different jumps and kicks and work your leg muscles since theyre used for jumping and stunting. Stretch alot about 30 minutes a day.

I'm 12 but 13 in August, is it a bit too old to do gymnastics? I've always wanted to do it when I was younger but my parents said no because it would make your shoulders look ugly... actually your exercising is good but unless you dont get 2000 calories all you'll do is gain weight. What helped me loose alot is not eating white breads 100 whole wheat you can still eat sweet but just dont go overboard. and i also stoped drinking soda. Just dont think its helping by eating little meals. Remember your still young. and you need a good sources of calcium and try to get in as much fiber as possible. that will help alot.

No, you aren't too old. I started at age 14 with no previous dance experience. I'm not going professional or anything, I just think it's fun. I started a beginner ballet class with girls ranging in age from 14-19, and I'm actually the youngest. There are a ton of late beginner classes. If you can't find one, you could always take private classes until you catch up, which shouldn't be too long since you already have a few years of dance experience, as well as cheer and gymnastics. Summer is the best time to start, most studios focus on the basics instead of routines in the summer.

so i started my period sunday its only my second period so its very irregular and i have no idea how many days it will be. however, my sister and mother both have their periods for like 7-8 days so i think im going to have a very long one. i tumble (back handsprings/ back flips/ front flops fyi)/am on trampoline team ( routines on that really bouncey in ground trampoline. this class is on thursday and im wondering if i will leak by using a light tampon, because if i do straddle jumps on the trampoline it i leak at all it could go onto the white trampoline! how embarrassing, and to make matters worse, my coach is a guy D': so should i wear a regular sized tampon instead of a light? my flow is light tho :/. ok and last thing, whenever i change my tampon ( every 2-3.5 hours) only half the tampon is bloody the other half is still clean, why is this? im 13 btw and thanks for reading i really appreciate it <3

I just read Victor Hugo's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", in an abridged form of Puffin Classics, and I greatly enjoyed it. I was wondering what are some of the differences between this abridged edition on the text and the unabridged one? Is the latter much more detailed and longer to read? Would it be worthwhile to read an unabridged version too?

Do I have a shot at making varsity cheer?

My school's cheer team is one of the best in the country, having won several national titles. I danced competitively for the same school for a year and danced on my middle school's competitive team. Our dance and cheer are more similar than most, no we don't do stunting but we are required toe touches and hurtle jumps and the same motions. The only time I have cheered was for a rec leugue in elementary school, so I don't know if I will be able to pick up stunting on a level higher than an elevator. I am a good base but is it hard to learn to stunt if you have missed several years? And also I have about 8 months to attempt to get a series of back handsprings and hopefully a spotted back tuck; they take girls who don't completely have them but I have seen them work with the girls who almost have it. I just need to know any advice for learning the aspects of cheer that I do not know, like the higher lever stunting or tumbling. Is it possible to get most of the skills down?

How do you do a front walkover, a running front flip, back handspring, splits, and a mocaco?

Okay i need help with these things. I can do the simple stuff like a cartwheel and handstand but I am having trouble doing a front walkover, a running front flip, back handspring, splits, and a mocaco. I can do a front flip and a back handspring on my trampoline and I feel very confident with them. I feel pretty confident doing a back handspring on a air mattress. I'm average for flexibility.....ok can do a handstand into a bridge and come up and kickover. I want to become more flexible on average because I know it will be easier to accomplish these things. Lastly, I won't have a professional spotter so don't tell me to go to the gym. I have accomplished a back handspring and round-off back handspring on the spring floor in a gym. I have tried on the floor but havent been able to accomplish it....I ordered a tumbling mat and it should be here soon like within a couple of days. How to get more height on an aerial cartwheel?

I'm a Level 8 gymnast too and i'v had lots of trouble with Arials too. you could probably use more height, but i'm thinking that fear may be an issue too... My problem is i'm afraid of the sideways landing, so i always put my hand down to control it, and feel safer. It helps to be spotted on it a few times before you try it by yourself and it will make you feel more confident. but if fear is not the issue, there are drills for them too. if you guys have a wedge (hill), do them going off the end by running to and up the hill and landing on the floor, which will help make sure you have enough height. you could also try doing them into a foam pit (or resee pit) until you have the height and timing and skill down. once you can do it good into the pit, try putting an 8incher into the pit and doing them onto that. its a softer landing and you wont have to worry about your landing as much as floor, but it will show you where the landing is. also ask one of your coaches to spot you on the floor. finally, we do a drill called a dive-cartwheel that is basically an Arial but with hands. you hurdle or jump into it but you also put your hands down at the last second. once you master that, try only putting one hand down. good luck!

Spinal Problems, Please Help!?

Well first thing is that I have 2 back problems, the first is what i think might be a slight hunchback, and i can kind of fix it by pulling my shoulders back. Am i being haunted by a demon?

Well i think i am being haunted by this demon, it has been following me mostly my whole life. Now my name has 3 meanings, one of which means "devil spawn" and i am mentally insane and i have manic depression, but i do not think this is just in my head. It is worst when i am at my dad's house visiting. One night it called my name right before i fell asleep and then at some time in the night it screamed at me to wake up. I thought it was just a nightmare and tried to sleep but when i went to lay down i saw a shadow and then i threw me down onto the bed. I was hysterical and frantically called my friend in a rush of tears. The next day my sister was asking me all about it. And my friend, who is also mental...but she agreed that it wasn't just me. I was afraid to go to sleep and i also suffer from monophobia, the fear of being alone. I can't even take being near the stairs because once when i was little i heard steps behind me. Thinking it was my brother, i thought nothing of it. Then i felt something give me a shove down the steps. I took the tumble and when i looked up, there was nobody there. i was about 6 when this happened. I am only 13 now but since then i have developed a state of psychosis, monophobia, and manic depression. I am also still paranoid and was then as well. As my parents are divorced, i travel a lot to my mom's and my dad's. I think it follows me because at my mother's house, I was playing on my DSI and i saw a shadow on the door creep closer, but when i looked, it receded. I keep having night terrors about that one night when it attacked me. I have gotten to a state of praying for protection at night, but when i do things like this, asking people for help, it worsens. I put a bible by my bed but when i was in our library room i touched it an i heard a voice rasp "NO" then the railing on the stairs rattled. I dropped the bible and ran away. that night i had my brother put it on my night stand for me. It did nothing, in fact the phenomenon got worse. I feel like when i ask for help from the forums, it feels provoked. when i do this, it scratches the walls. when i pray at night it bangs the walls and scratches them. What is a good book to read?

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is excellent. It was one of the books we could choose to read for our summer homework for AP Lit, so I assume it's on the College Board's list, but not positive. sooo since i was like 8 all my coaches have been saying that i can do a backhandspring by myself. and i would do them in the gym if my coaches would put their arm out- i wouldnt even need a spot but i refused to do it by myself. My older dog has begun to have a hunchback / curved spine?

if you wanted to compete you would probably be in a class younger kids. it usually takes a year to advance levels. Some gyms however, offer classes just for fun (no competeing) that usually include older kids.

I had this dream that I was in the middle of the ocean, freezing to death. I started drowning, and i then started praying. A bubble surrounded me so that i could breath. I am having suicidal thoughts?

I'm a 19 year old girl and recently been having suicidal thoughts. I dont want to go to a therapist and I dont have a mental illness. I have a back problem which has caused me to develop a hunchback which is so obvious I have to wear baggy clothes to hide it. What classics do you consider mandatory reading?

Yes, you should read The Count of Monte Cristo. Its actually very good and you'd probably enjoy it. I would also recommend All Quiet on the Western Front, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Lord of the Flies, perhaps. Its an interesting read if nothing else. And a lot of people feel Pride and Prejudice is an important book. I didn't particularly like it and struggled through every page, but most girls I know absolutely loved it.

It is actually very interesting. Every one cherishes his childhood and i agree that the 90's were great. You can expose your children to the shows,games,music you used to listen to but it's completely wrong to enforce them to it. I always wanted my children to watch DBZ and old shows i used to watch but i think it's wrong to deprive of them the great things in their time. Believe me if what you have to give is great then the children will likely enjoy it for example i still listen to classic rock my dad used to listen to but i listen to modern heavy metal genres it's important to move on as time progresses you wouldn't want to be stuck in the 60's. Its important not to forget the past completely but you have to move on so there will be even greater thing in the future... I would say you have to incorporate things you enjoy from the past with new great things from the present.

Is it a coincidence that my cooker, washer and drier have all broken in the same week?

There was a fault with the ignition on the cooker that made the electrics in the kitchen blow! It took me ages to find the fault, I unplugged everything obvious but forgot that even though the cooker is gas it has an electric ignition. Once I had unplugged it the electric worked after I had flicked the fuse switch. I can still use the cooker, I just need a lighter to get it going. The odd thing is that since then my washer and drier have also stopped working. My washer has always been a bit odd to be honest but this week it finally just stopped working. Then the tumble drier got really noisy then just expired. I did the obvious things like changing the fuses in the plugs to each appliance but no joy. It can't be a coincidence can it?

Hello im 13 years old and i would love to start Artistic Gymnastics. I am 5'4 tall and I have done ballet for 8 years (I had to quite 3 years ago). At the moment i am doing trampolining, tumbling and double mini tramp but I would love to start Artistic Gymnastics!!. The club im in has Artistic gymnastics but the level I would be at has like 10 year olds in it. I want to do competitive gymnastics too, what should I do?? Should I move Gyms (my mum said yes if you want to move gyms to be with more people your age) I have been at this Gymnastics Club for about 6 months. Did my dog break his leg?

Yesterday my dog tumbled down my deck stairs. When I looked down at him he was holding his front left leg in the air and whimpering. I couldn't take him to the vet last night but I am taking him to the vet today. This morning he still won't walk on it. If you gently touch it he doesn't do anything but if you move it around a little bit he tries to bite you and he starts to whimper. hi there, if you want my honest advice, it's not bad but its not great either. It's a bit muddled and rushed and a bit of a jumble to read, too much is happening at once. I got a little confused, you need to slow down first of all. It seems a little rushed, to make it a good piece of writing you need to put a bit more time into it and maybe try to slowly build the suspense and make it more gripping to read. as i said build it up slowly, dont introduce too many people at once. its all just constructive criticism and i hope it help and i havent offended. good luck xx

I have one budgie who loves to play with me and his toys. Lately though, he wants the other birds to play with him in his mini playground. HELP?! i dropped my fish!!!!!?

so about 10 minutes ago i was trying to clean the tank of the goldfish i won at the fair 2 days ago. I picked him up, and he fell about 4 feet onto the tile floor! How protective were/are you over your babies?

Neither of us are particularly protective about everyday stuff - little bumps and bruises are all part of their development. But my heart was in my mouth when I found my daredevil 14mth old daughter had a) learned to climb up the really high climbing frame at the soft play centre and b) was quite happy to chuck herself headfirst down the chute meant for the big kids!

My female rats are fighting more than usual...what's going on?

That happend to me i had 2 female rats and the were all fine and loved eachother, but then they started fighting alot i think it is becasue the cage was to small for both and they were feeling they need more space for just there slefs and sharing the water and the food got them all cranky so maybe get a bigger cage or get another one and see if there better by there slefs.

Here's my opinion on the situation: Let it go. I know bullying is not okay and that high school can sometimes be down right brutal for the victims of bullying. I also think schools and parents need to do more to stop bullying. You're all out of high school now and [hopefully] grown up a bit. They've probably forgotten about the video by now anyways. Besides, a background check typically doesn't involve searching youtube or simply typing in someones name into a search engine. It's done through the court system. And another problem if an employer simply typed a name into a search engine is proving they've found the right person. How many people have the exact same name as the bullies? With a background check, employers have access to other things (birthdates, social security number, etc) to verify that they have the right person. So your plan is basically pointless.

I'm 14 and for a little while now I've been having bad pain in my right knee whenever I run, jump, or like bend it like as in lunging. I get it in my left knee to but it's not as bad. My mom got me a knee brace for it but it doesn't help. I looked up the disease and it hurts where they say it does. Like below your knee like the top of your shin. I am very active.
