Age to watch the movie 'The Hunchback Of Notre Dame' is it too sad for a 7 year old?

I'm 16, I still haven't watched it completely, I know what it's about from trailers, reading plots, and watching it half way. The movie's pretty depressing despite it's happy ending, do you think for a 7 year old this movie would be too sad?
